Trash left by tourists at Morning Hills in Barangay Botoc Occidental in Loay town has prompted a village to close this popular trail since last week.

Local tourists ascended to Morning Hills when the province was placed under modified general community quarantine.

While the deluge of tourists was welcomed at the town’s attraction, local officials environment advocates have raised an outcry over trash left by visitors.

The area, a private property, is a popular destination for trill, pre-nup and yoga.

In a Facebook page, One Loay said barangay officials regularly clean the area without stipend.

There is no entrance fee at Morning Hills.
