Friends and fans remember ‘Pink Lady Rider’ following her death

Condolences for a Boholana rider poured in after her friends learned of her death.

Maria Jessel Gementiza, 23, a resident of Barangay Poblacion in San Isidro, was found dead two days after she was swept away by a flashflood while visiting a falls in San Isidro town.

Popularly known as the “Pink Lady Rider,” Gementiza was swimming with her cousins and friends at Kilab-Kilab Falls in Barangay Caimbang when floodwaters hit Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

While her four companions were able to escape and make it to a nearby bank, Gementiza was wept away by flooding.

According to Sikatuna police, she was reported missing following the flash. Her body was found two days by local rescuers in Ginsangaan River still in San Isidro town.

Griefs filled the whole town and the Bohol riders community.

“You are loved by many Pink Lady Rider. Ride at peace in heaven,” wrote a friend.

“It feels like I lost a sibling honestly,” another motor rider Jake said.
