Bohol records 9 new Covid-19 cases

Returning Boholanos were among the nine (9) fresh cases of the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Bohol on Tuesday, August 4.

In a report by Gov. Art Yap, two cases came from Bilar, two cases from Trinidad and five cases came from Tagbilaran City.

The patients in Bilar and Trinidad were locals stranded.

The patients in Tagbilaran City were three LSIs— 60-year-old- male from Barangay Mansasa, 40-year-old female from Barangay Booy; and a 25-year- old male from Barangay Bool; one overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Barangay Manga, and one authorized persons outside residence (APOR).

In a Facebook post, Mayor Baba Yap said the patients do not show symptoms of the disease and are now isolated.

Local health authorities are still tracing those who had close contact with the patients.

Bohol presently has 99 Covid-19 cases where 32 were active with 63 recoveries and four deaths.
