The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) on Monday opened the Malasakit and Makatao Recovery Center (MMRC) at Barangay Poblacion 2 in Tagbilaran City to accommodate PNP personnel who will be on self-isolation while being monitored for possible coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection.

Police Col. Joselito Clarito, acting provincial director of BPPO, said the MMRC has 32 beds with those in quarantine to be given free food, free rent, and other services.

The covered court in Barangay Poblacion 2 was turned into a quarantine facility.

Clarito said the initiative is still part of the organization’s Biosafety Plan to help personnel to have a place where they can stay without worrying about the rent fee and their meal while in quarantine.

Clarito said that the Police Regional Office ordered police provincial offices to have their own quarantine and isolation center for police personnel.

Funds for the facility, he said, came from various local government units (LGUs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
