Two individuals were killed while three others were injured in different road accidents recorded by the different police stations in Bohol province.


A woman was declared dead on arrival when the motorcycle she was riding bumped on to a motorela that was parked on the side of the road.

According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Jason Bayron of Candijay PNP, the accident happened on Tuesday, June 2, at 6:30 a.m. while the woman and her husband was traversing the road to Guindulman town on board their motorcycle.

The driver identified as 44-year-old Franklyn Logroño allegedly lost control while they were passing on a curve road. This caused him to hit a motorela.

Bayron said both were not wearing helmets that may have contributed to the head injury of the driver’s wife Lorna.

Meanwhile, another motorist was hurt on Monday evening after he lost control of his motorcycle while trying to evade a dog that suddenly crossed the street.

The driver was identified as 24-year-old Arnulfo Tatoy, from Purok 4, Barangay San Isidro of San Miguel town.

According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Bayron, the driver was on his way to Guindulman town when he met the accident at past 8 p.m. at Barangay Tugas.

Tatoy was brought to nearby health facility where he got treatment from the bruises and wound he got from the accident.


Another backrider died on Sunday, May 31, after the motorcycle he was riding crashed with another motorcycle in Ubay town.

According to the police report from Ubay PNP, the deceased backrider was identified as Gorgoño Caga, 54, and a resident of Brgy. Camambugan, Ubay.

Caga and 40-year-old Alberto Juaña, the driver of the motorcycle he was riding, were allegedly drunk at the time of the accident.

Meanwhile, another accident was recorded early morning on the same day.

A “listonero” named as Christian Estupa from Barangay Poblacion lost control of his motorcycle that caused the accident.

Estupa was reportedly drunk when this happened.

He is now at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital where he is recuperating from the injuries he acquired.
