The Department of Education (DepEd) has assured its preparedness for the remote enrollment tomorrow, June 1, 2020.

According to their press release, the remote enrollment will be conducted in order to ensure the safety of students and the teachers.

“Ngayong taon, hindi kinakailangang pisikal na magtungo ang mga magulang at mag-aaral sa paaralan para sa enrollment upang patuloy na mapairal ang physical distancing at health standards ng Department of Health (DOH) at Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF),” says DepEd’s news release.

Schools have set designated contact numbers for the remote enrollment.

Advisers of students during the school year 2019-2020 will get in touch with the parents of Grade 1 to 12 learners to facilitate the remote enrollment.

Parents or guardians may also call or get in touch with the previous advisers of their children for this.

There’s also an identified enrollment focal person (EFP) that will receive calls and answer queries from parents of Kindergarten, transferees, Balik-Aral, and Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners in each school.

Before June 1, four national orientations were conducted to allow parents, teachers, and DepEd officials understand the guidelines for the one-month enrollment period.

DepEd also issued Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) in order to address the common concerns during the remote enrollment.

DepEd will also conduct a virtual launch of the 2020 Brigada Eskwela (BE) and Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) in order to assist schools and other stakeholders in the enrollment and the preparation gor the opening of classes.

The 2020 BE and OBE has the theme: “Pagpapanatili ng Bayanihan Tungo sa Kalidad na Edukasyon para sa Kabataan” in order to showcase the joint contribution and efforts of stakeholders to help schools and communities in line with the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan of DepEd.

“Nakatuon ang Brigada ngayong taon sa paghihikayat ng mga partners para matiyak na may angkop naa kagamitan para sa ligtas at matiwasay na pagsasagawa ng iba’t-ibang uri ng distance learning,” DepEd said.

Meanwhile, there will be Public Assistance Command Centers (PACC) that will be set-up at the central, regional, at schools division level nationwide to assist in the enrollment and opening of classes on August 24.
