OFW from San Isidro ‘cleared’ from mandatory quarantine, now at home with family

Some repatriated Boholano overseas Filipino workers returned to Bohol last April 28, 2020.

A 29-year-old repatriated Boholano overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who tested negative twice for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was able to return home in San Isidro town on Friday, May 15.

“Excited nako mouli,” she said after a 16-day quarantine in a facility in Tagbilaran City.

Coincidentally, she returned home in time for the town fiesta, the feast day of Saint Isidore.

The OFW worked in an Italian cruise ship for two years.

Upon her arrival in the Philippines last April 3, she underwent a mandatory quarantine in Manila. When she arrived in Bohol last April 28, she and other 65 OFWs were quarantined for another 14 days until they were tested negative for
polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.

She advised everyone to keep a healthy lifestyle and have faith in God.
