As cases surge across the province, employees and visitors entering the provincial Capitol are required to wear face shields starting tomorrow, April 19, 2021 to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
In Tagbilaran City, residents are required to wear face mask and shield when entering the city hall, any government offices and public markets in the city.
Those who will violate it will face a fine of P3,000 to P5,000 or imprisonement of up to six months.
Previously, both government offices imposed the wearing of face shields last year to all its visitors and employees.
Studies suggest that when worn together with a properly fitted surgical mask, face shields offer protection from contamination to others, as well as to the wearer.
As of Sunday, April 18, Bohol has 432 active cases.
