An elderly woman died May 15, Friday dawn after a speeding vehicle sideswiped her in Barangay Upper Dela Paz, Cortes town.
Albina Claro, 65, widow, a resident of Purok 2 in Barangay Ubujan, Tagbilaran City, was identified by residents in the area.
Police were unable to identify the vehicle which hit the woman as the driver did not stop.
Clara’s injured body was found along the highway.
PSMS Ruel Duites and PSSg Gregorio Pacot responded to the area around 4 o’clock in the morning.
The victim was rushed to Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran but was later declared dead.
