54  repatriated OFWs Bohol test negative for COVID-19

Repatriated Boholano overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) arrived in Bohol last April 28, 2020.

A total of 54 repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are closer to being reunited with their families in the province of Bohol after testing negative for coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19).

Gov. Art Yap announced on Friday thru his Facebook account that 70 were tested negative in the PCR test. Out of the 70 were 54 swab samples taken from OFWs and 16 from community swabbing from different towns.

Yap said the provincial government is waiting for the results from eight swab samples from OFWs.

Yap said those OFWs tested negative can go home if health clearance will be given from the doctors.

Earlier, one of the repatriated OWFs was tested positive for COVID-19.

The patient was put in isolation in a quarantine facility.

The 65 OFWs arrived in Bohol last April 28. They reached their 14th day of quarantine on Tuesday, May 12, in three facilities in Bohol.

Another 51 OFWs arrived last May 9.
