All of the 65 repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) quarantined at three facilities in Bohol are healthy.
This was announced by Dr. Yul Lopez, Bohol’s COVID-19 spokesperson, during the province’s live public briefing on Friday, May 8.
“They are very healthy, alert and active,” said Lopez.
Of the 65 OFWs- 17 were stranded in Cebu and 48 stranded in Manila. They arrived in Bohol last April 28.
Lopez said none of the patients has a fever, and three of them are currently having colds but improving.
Swab samples were collected from OFWS for confirmatory results forwarded to the subnational laboratory Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC SNL) on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) testing.
The current DOH protocol to detect infection by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, uses polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machines.
