A man was killed while his companion was injured after two unidentified men shot them while at a funeral vigil in Panglao town Thursday night.
Police said the incident happened at 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 7.
Lucilo Bongcaras Jr. 41, a resident of Barangay Tangnan in Panglao town had a drinking spree with his friend Amancio Patenio, 31, at a wake when two unidentified assailants shot Patenio multiple times.
Bongcaras rushed to help Patenio but he was also shot in his leg.
The suspects, whose faces were covered, immediately fled.
Bongcaras was immediately brought to Tagbilaran City for medical treatment.
Police officers are still investigating the incident.
