Personnel of the Inabanga Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Inabanga Police Station have prepared themselves Friday (May 1, 2020) to investigate and conduct contact tracing of alleged two residents of Barangay Fatima, Inabanga town who accordingly went home from Cebu onboard a rented motoboat.
According to a Facebook of LGU Inabanga, these two residents arrived via pumpboat and previously stayed in Barangay Labangon in Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City.
Labangon and Lapulapu were among the COVID-19 hotspots in Cebu as confirmed cases have been reported in these places.
More than one month into the community quarantine imposed in Inabanga and the whole province of Bohol, teamINABANGA led by Mayor Roygie Jumamoy continued to hold regular Incident Management Team (IMT) physical and video-conferencing meetings with its key officers to ensure that COVID-19 does not affect Inabanga locals.
During these meetings, various matters relating to COVID-19 measures, guidelines, programs, projects and developments were presented, discussed, implemented, reviewed and revised on a regular basis to make sure applicability especially that Inabanga has 50 barangays including its two island barangays of Cuaming and Hambongan.
The 14-Day Barangay Enhanced Community Quarantine of Cuaming Island, the first of its kind in Bohol, was lifted April 24, 2020 after completing stringent COVID-19 measures by protecting its 3,518 residents especially that the island is located nearer to Cebu.
As it goes through the 2nd month of community quarantine, teamINABANGA continues to adapt to the new norms.
Like the rest of Bohol Province, Inabanga is now under General Community Quarantine from May 1 to 31, 2020. /with reports from Inabanga Communications and News Service (ICoNS)
