DANAO, BOHOL — Several development projects were inaugurated here on Monday, July 7, as the municipality marked its 64th foundation day.
Among the completed initiatives were the improvement and rehabilitation of the Danao Municipal Hall, the construction of the Farmers’ Multi-Purpose Building, and upgrades to the Barangay Poblacion Basketball Court and perimeter fence. Also inaugurated were the new computer and crime laboratories at Danao Technological College.
In addition, two rescue vehicles were officially turned over to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) to strengthen the town’s emergency response capabilities.

Mayor Celeste Cepedoza-Lerion, alongside Vice Mayor Jose Cepedoza, department heads, and municipal employees, led the blessing and inauguration rites.
In an interview, Cepedoza-Lerion emphasized that her administration’s first term is anchored on delivering people-centered projects.
“Everything we do is for the benefit of our constituents. These projects are just the beginning,” she said.
Meanwhile, the town is also hosting the Agri-Fishery Fair and Farmerlympics 2025 at the temporary bus terminal as part of the foundation day festivities.
