Honest Bohol residents return SAP aid

At least seven persons in the province of Bohol returned the cash aid under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) handed to them by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) saying that their children and spouses have claimed the aid for their families.Four residents in Loay returned their P6,000 SAP. According to Mayor Hilario Ayuban Jr,
they were Ronnel Sarong of Barangay Poblacion Ibabao, Gemela Regis of Barangay Calvario, Carmelita Regis-Omas-as of Barangay Piblacion Ibabao, and Avelina Ductama of Barangay Villalimpia.Omas-as said her husband received his SAP in Lila town.“Maayo na lang ni Mayor mahatag sa.laing pamilya nga wala makadawat,” Omas-as told Ayuban.In Dauis, three residents also returned their SAP.
Mayor Marietta Sumaylo also posted on her Facebook account the residents who returned the cash aid they received under SAP.Esteban “Bobby” Sumaoy, a resident of Purok 6 in Barangay Tinago returned the P6,000.Sumaoy, a tourist van, said one of his children received P5,000 from DOLE for displaced workers.Emily Santos Loquias from Barangay Biking returned the money.Evanlinda Arado, a resident of Purok 3 in Barangay Tinago returned the money after one of her children received P5,000 cash assistance from DOLE.In Candijay town, Jomark Janer returned the emergency cash subsidy saying his spouse received a cash grant from 4Ps. He decided to return it so that another family will benefit the said subsidy from the government.
