The Loon Police Station denied reports that the “erring” policeman who allegedly breached the quarantine protocol of Bohol province sneaked in via the Catagbacan Port in Loon town.
In a statement released on Monday, Loon police headed by Police Major Norman Nuez said that the said report has “no factual basis.”
The policeman, one of the two policemen who are now being investigated by authorities, was not seen in the area nor entered Catagbacan Port, Loon, Bohol and he has no travel history at the said port since the Province of Bohol issued an Executive Order implementing the “No Sailing Policy” and the Calibrated Community Quarantine to the entire province, the statement added.
The statement was also backed by the Coast Guard Mobile Team in Loon signed by PO1 Lito Pascua Jr., substation commander of the Philippine Coast Guard SubStation in Tubigon.
