An online seller from San Miguel town was arrested on Wednesday morning, April 15, for allegedly selling overpriced alcohol.
Marie Grace Lacaba of San Miguel Bohol was caught in an entrapment operation by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bohol outside a mall in Tagbilaran.
Lacaba reportedly sold a liter of 70 percent isopropyl alcohol for P280 which is beyond the suggested price of P 137.50 set by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
She sold the product on her Facebook account.
Seized from the suspect were two liters of unlabeled alcohol.
She had already disposed some before Holy Week.
The suspect was brought to the NBI office and will face charges for violation of the Price Act and the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009.
