An elementary teacher from Catigbian town was declared Saturday winner of It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan Year 4.
Ann Marie Bastasa, 24, from Barangay Haguilanan in Catigbian town who sang “Creep” snatched the golden microphone from the defending champion John Clemance Ando on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
Bastasa said she had two ambitions in life: to become a teacher and a singer.
She achieved those ambitions.
“Hindi ako sumuko sa nga mga pangarap ko at pinagsabay ko ang pag-aaral at pagkanta,” she said.
During the 37th Cebu Popular Music Festival, Bastasa interpreted the song “Nagpahilayo” composed by Hernando Maniwan.
