The Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7) confirmed there is one person under investigation (PUI) for the 2019 – Novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019 – nCoV ARD) in Bohol province.
In a press briefing this afternoon at their regional office in Cebu City, Dr. Jaime Bernadas, regional director of DOH-7, said the PUI is among the 15 people they are monitoring in Central Visayas.
Bernadas did not specifically identified the nationality of the PUI in Bohol but he said the PUIs in the region are a mix of foreign nationals and locals.
There are 11 PUIs in Cebu and three in Negros Oriental.
Bernadas, however, said the PUIs are showing no signs and symptoms of the coronavirus and now waiting for the test results from Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
Last Friday, DOH-7 has disclosed that a Chinese national was discharged after his test results for the coronavirus yielded negative.
