A student was dead on the spot, while five others were injured when a military truck hit a carenderia in Dat-an, Barangay Katipunan, Carmen town on Wednesday.
Carmen police said the incident occurred at around 12:45 p.m. along the national highway of Barangay Katipunan.
The victim and several others were having lunch when they were accidentally hit by the speeding military truck.
The victim was dragged by the military vehicle and sustained severe fracture in her body that caused her instantaneous death.
It was learned that the military truck was travelling to Batuan town for an activity.
The injured students were brought to the nearest hospital.
