A police woman who was allegedly shot and killed by her own husband was found dead inside their home in Sitio Ingod, Barangay Centro in Tubigon town on Monday (January 27) morning.
According to the details provided by Tubigon Police, her body was found on the floor covered in blood inside the room of their house after opening it.
The police had to forcibly open the door since the room was locked from the inside.
She was identified as Police Staff Sergeant Juliet Tuquib who was assigned at Clarin Municipal Police Station.
Police also found the husband sitting on the edge of the bed inside the crime scene.
He was identified as Police Staff Sergeant Ariel Tuquib.
Based on the account of their housemaid named Analie Suaybagiou, she was in the kitchen when she heard a loud gunshot from the second floor of the house.
There was also another gunshot that followed.
Tubigon police have taken the husband into custody.
But he was first brought to Tubigon Community Hospital for treatment after he also sustained a gunshot wound in his left face.
Tubigon Police said they are looking at family problem as the angle of the unfortunate incident.
The couple, police added, always had an argument on different issues.
Meanwhile, Police Col. Jonathan Cabal, acting provincial director of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), said the husband was on the process of disability discharge due to mental problems.
“Subject for dismissal. Kasi may history ng nervous breakdown. Hindi na makaduty ng maayos,” he said.
Tubigon police was able to recover one 9mm caliber pistol, Glock 17 with 10 live ammunition; three cellphones; and two empty shells of 9mm caliber.
