Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman has arrived in Egypt on Tuesday, December 10, for the 48th Miss Intercontinental.

“Arrived in Egypt and excited for the 48th Miss Intercontinental! Who’s your bet? ✨,” she captioned her photo on Instagram.

Gallman, a native of Ubay, Bohol, is the first Filipina to win Miss Intercontinental and serendipitously held in Manila.

After a long absence in the Red Sea, it returned this year in the city Sharm el-Sheikh.

This year’s Miss Intercontinental competition runs from December 6 until December 20, the finals night.

The organizer of the competition announced that the city of Sharm el-Sheikh shall be the venue because of its distinctive weather, wonderful climate and scenic tourist destinations.

Emma Mary Tiglao, 24, is the Philippine bet, aiming for a back-to-back.
