Several towns in the northern side of Cebu are now under Storm Warning Signal No. 2 as Typhoon Tisoy (Kammiri) continues to move closer to southern Luzon.

Daanbantayan, Bantayan, Madridejos, Santa Fe, Medellin, Bogo City, San Remigio, Tabogon, Tabuelan, Tuburan, Carmen Borbon, Sogod, Catmon, Asturias, and Camotes Islands were placed under Storm Signal No. 2.

Metro Cebu (Balamban, Toledo City, Pinamungahan, Aloguinsan, Naga City, Talisay City, Cordova, Minglanilla, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Cebu City, Consolacion, Liloan, Compostela, and Danao City) remains under Storm Signal No. 1,

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) placed northern Cebu under yellow rainfall alert on Monday, December 2, 2019.

Pagasa said ‘Tisoy’ is forecast to make landfall over Catanduanes, Albay or Sorsogon between tonight and tomorrow early morning.

A 1 p.m. today, the eye of Typhoon ‘Tisoy’ was located East of Juban, Sorsogon.
