The low-pressure area (LPA), which was spotted 420 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales, has developed into a tropical depression, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday night, June 28.
“At 8:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area west of Zambales developed into Tropical Depression “CALOY”. Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued starting at 11:00 PM today, ” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its weather bulletin.
Expect overcast skies and all-day rain over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, as well as Visayas, on Wednesday due to tropical depression Caloy hovering over the West Philippine Sea and the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”
