A notorious “pimp” was arrested, while three women including a minor were rescued by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bohol Saturday afternoon.
Lawyer Glenn Damasing of NBI Bohol said the operation led to the arrest of Jovelyn “Jubay” Olano, 26, a resident of Guindulman town.
She was arrested at past 2 p.m. in a resort in Tagbilaran City.
This is the exact location where another pimp was arrested last Tuesday, November 19.
Guindulman Municipal Social Welfare and Development Department (MSWD) filed a complaint against Olano due to her alleged illegal activities.
This complaint was the basis of the NBI Bohol operation, Dumasing added.
Earlier, another complaint against Olano was filed before the Guindulman Police Station after she allegedly offered the services of a 12-year-old girl to a foreign national.
Since Olano had been cautious with whom she transact with, she was under a series of surveillance until Saturday’s entrapment that finally put her behind bars.
Olano allegedly offered the minor’s services for P8,000.
For a 14 year-old-girl, she would charge P10,000, and P7,000 for a much older woman.
The rescued females were turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Following her arrest, Olano vehemently denied the allegations hurled against her.
