2 HVTs nabbed in Tagbilaran bust

Two men were caught with more than P170,000 worth of suspected shabu during an anti-illegal drug operation in Tagbilaran City on Sunday.

The suspects were identified as Junaid Cadar, 32, a resident of Muslim village Taloto, Tagbilaran City and Mathew Maniwang, 39, who is presently residing at Barangay Libertad, Baclayon town.

Tagbilaran City Police said the suspects were considered two high value targets (HVTs).

They were arrested in a buy bust operation Sunday morning, Nov. 3 in Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City.

Siezed from the suspects were sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P170,000.

Earlier, police arrested a beautician with P156,400.00 worth of suspected shabu during an anti-illegal drug operation in M. H. Del Pilar Street, Poblacion, Tagbilaran last October 31, 2019.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Boyles, acting Tagbilaran City Police Station chief identified the suspect as Tirso Mahinay, 37, a resident of Baucan Norte, Balilihan town.

Mahinay, according to police, was a drug watchlist street level target.
