Despite his early exit, Boholano clasher Allan Santarin surely made mentor German Moreno proud in heaven upon performing the Willie Revillame classic, “Ikaw Na Nga” in The Clash Season 2 Saturday night.

Santarin, a native of Valencia town, ended his journey when the judges chose Lorraine Galvez of La Union over him.

Following this hearbreak, Allan remained grateful and hopeful.

“MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT po sa lahat ng nanood, sumuporta at kasama kong kinabahan kagabi sa The Clash,” he said on a Facebook post.

He added the song “Ikaw Na Nga” was dedicated to his mother who recently passed away.

He defended his song choice from critics who said it caused his exit as he explained that he “needed to sing that song for my beloved mother.”

He remains optimistic about his singing journey as he expressed interest to join more singing contests in the future.

🙏🏼,” he said.

He ended his post by saying:

“Clasher Allan Santarin. Proud Bol-anon. Proud Valencianhon.”
