Missing couple found alive two days after boat capsizes in Oslob

A couple from Oslob town, who went missing for two days after their boat capsized, were rescued by Boholano fishermen on Sunday.

Samuel and Olympia Caldino went fishing last Friday, September 12.

Their motor banca got stalled in big waves off Panglao island in Bohol and Oslob town after rough sea waters was experienced by the Central Visayas seaboard due to tropical depression Marilyn and enhanced by Habagat.

They were floating between Oslob and Panglao until three fishermen identified as Reynaldo Tagyamon, Erwin Pahayahay and Elmar Mananquil found and rescued them at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15.

At 10 p.m., they were brought to Alburquerque Police Station. Then, they were later transported to Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital, after suffering from dehydration.

Police Staff Sergeant Noel Monton of Alburquerque Police Station said they have coordinated with the family of Caldino in Oslob.
