Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday, June 23, expressed deep sadness over the deadly shooting at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City, Leyte, that claimed the lives of students and left several others injured.

NGCP conducts restoration works for Agaton-affected towers

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is conducting restoration works in accessible sites for the four (4) steel towers damaged by Tropical Cyclone Agaton. These towers located at Brgy. Bunga, Baybay, Leyte – components of the Ormoc-Maasin 138kV line – were affected by a landslide in the area.

Even if Bohol Electric Cooperative I (BOHECO-1) can finish fixing its last served lateral lines as planned on April 15, and even if the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) can restore the ruined power lines that transmit geothermal power from Leyte, some 28,395 households might still not get their active power connections.
