BFAR lifts red tide alert in Dauis, Tagbilaran coastal waters

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has declared coastal waters in Dauis and Tagbilaran City free from red tide contamination, allowing the safe consumption of shellfish and other marine products in the area.

BFAR, NIA release 150K tilapia fingerlings in Malinao dam

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the National Irrigation Administration Region VII- Bohol Integrated Irrigation System (NIA Region VII-BIIS) on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, released some 150,000 tilapia fingerlings into Malinao Dam in Pilar town, Bohol
as part of their continuing efforts to revitalize the aquaculture industry.
