TAGBILARAN CITY — Bohol Light Company Inc. (BLCI) marked its second anniversary under the management of Primelectric Holdings Inc. with a dedicated community outreach program at the TagbilaranSunshine Home Orphanage on Thursday, October 22.
Anchored on the theme “Lighting Lives through kindness,” the initiative underscores the distribution utility’s deep commitment to community welfare in Central Visayas.
During the event, Bohol Light volunteers spent the day distributing essential supplies and engaging with the children and staff.
The company noted that its mandate extends far beyond delivering reliable electricity; by fostering meaningful connections, Bohol Light aims to bring tangible hope and joy to the communities it serves.
Bohol Light operates as a subsidiary of Primelectric Holdings Inc., the power distribution arm of Enrique K. Razon Jr.’s MORE Electric and Power Corporation. Since Primelectric took a controlling stake in BLCI in 2024, the utility has continuously upgraded its grid infrastructure while simultaneously strengthening its corporate social responsibility footprint across Tagbilaran City.
Bohol Light emphasized the importance of the outreach in relation to the company’s broader vision.
“Providing efficient, reliable power is our primary duty, but our truest measure of success lies in how we uplift the lives of our consumers,”.
“This second anniversary milestone is not just a celebration of our operational and technical improvements, but a reaffirmation of our pledge to light up lives through genuine kindness and support for vital institutions like the Sunshine Home Orphanage.
The anniversary outreach represents a continuation of the Razon-led group’s strategy to balance infrastructure modernization with a strong, community-first approach, ensuring that progress in the power sector translates into direct social impact.
