PANGLAO, Bohol — Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Region VII president Ricardo “Kuya Nick” Pepito thanked local officials, the media and organizers for the successful staging of the 2026 PCL Week Central Visayas in Bohol.

Pepito said the gathering, held under the theme “Anchoring Local Governance on Global Resilience, Protecting Filipinos Across Borders,” celebrated unity, shared experiences and the commitment of local officials to public service.

At least 500 councilors from Cebu and Bohol attended the three-day event in Panglao.

He expressed appreciation to councilors, mayors, congressmen, vice mayors and other elected officials who participated in the event, as well as PCL Region VII officials for their cooperation and commitment.

Pepito also thanked the provincial government of Bohol for hosting and warmly welcoming the delegates.

He specifically recognized Cebu and Bohol media organizations for covering the activities and helping bring the event’s messages closer to the public.

“A special thank you as well to the Cebu Media and Bohol Media for being with us, covering the activities, and helping bring the spirit and message of PCL Week closer to the people,” Pepito said.

He also credited the PCL Cebu Chapter staff for their work behind the scenes, saying the event’s success would not have been possible without their teamwork.

Pepito said the gathering went beyond camaraderie, describing it as a celebration of unity and a shared commitment to serving the people.

“Daghang salamat sa inyong tanan! Padayon ta sa panaghiusa ug serbisyo para sa atong mga katawhan,” he said.
