The No. 2 most wanted person in Cebu City was nabbed in Loon town in Bohol after hiding from authorities for months.
The suspect, identified as Anthony Lucero Cabarrubias, 41, presently residing in Barangay Pantudlan in Cabilao Island in Loon town, is facing murder. His warrant of arrest was issued by Hon. Presiding Judge Alexander Acosta of Regional Trial Court, 7th Judicial Region, Branch 9, Cebu City, dated March 14, 2012.
No bail was recommended.
Operatives from Cebu City Mobile Force Company of the Cebu City Police Office (CMFC- CCPO) led by Lt. Col. Rene Sanchez Kiamko together with personnel of Loon Police Station led by Major Norman Lobrigas Nuez and Bohol police Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) arrested Cabarrubias on Saturday morning, October 10, 2020, in Cabilao Island.
Cabarrubias was immediately brought to Loon Police Station for documentation and subsequently brought to CMFC- CCPO for proper turned-over.
According to Kiamko, the success and the positive result of the operation was attributed by the perseverance of Team Loon Police led by Nuez and the monitoring of Loon’s pride Task Force IGMAT (Intelligence Group Mobilized at All Times) as well as the operatives from Cebu City Mobile Force Company- CCPO.
Nuez said police will continually conduct the same operations for a safer place to live, visit, invest and do business.
