TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — A community-led rehabilitation project has been launched to restore and improve Caingget Beach, a popular coastal area in the city known for family gatherings, sunset views and quiet moments by the shore.

The Kainget Beach Rehabilitation Project, led by the Kainget Beach Vendors & Fisherfolks Association (KBVFA), seeks public support for the repair of damaged seawalls, improvement of public facilities and installation of proper waste-management facilities.

Organizers are also calling for volunteers to join upcoming coastal cleanups and mangrove-planting activities as part of efforts to restore the beach and protect its coastal environment.

Donations may be sent through GCash at 0991-723-6145 under the name Kainget Beach Vendors & Fisherfolks Association, or through BPI account 1209-1643-09.

The group is also accepting in-kind donations such as construction materials, empty sacks, trash bins, tools and paint.

“Together, let’s bring the beauty back to Kainget Beach,” the organizers said.

For donations, sponsorships or volunteer opportunities, the public may contact David Rey Tirol, KBVFA president, at 0991-723-6145.
