BACLAYON, Bohol — The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), together with local officials and community volunteers, has turned over a new home to the Paman family in Barangay Payahan, Baclayon, marking the 130th beneficiary of the “Balay sa Paglaum ug Libreng Alagad ug Balay” project.
Mr. and Mrs. Benescio Paman, along with their 10 children, received the house located in Purok 4, Barangay Payahan.
The turnover was conducted with the participation of the Bohol police under the leadership of Provincial Director Col. Patricio Degay Jr., represented by Lt. Col. Joseph Berondo of the BPPO-DPDO, as well as Barangay Payahan officials and community volunteers.
The housing project was made possible through a partnership with the Bohol police, with construction materials funded through personal resources of Gov. Aris Aumentado and Rep. Vanessa “Van-van” Aumentado.

Organizers said the initiative seeks to help families who lost their homes due to Typhoon Odette, which devastated Bohol and other parts of the country in December 2021.
The organizers also expressed gratitude to the Bohol police for helping coordinate and facilitate the construction of the houses under the program.
They said the initiative reflects the spirit of generosity and community cooperation deeply rooted in Boholano culture, emphasizing that even small acts of support can make a significant difference in the lives of families in need.
