TAGBILARAN CITY — The cities of San Juan and Tagbilaran are set to formalize a sisterhood partnership on Thursday, July 16, in a move aimed at strengthening cooperation and promoting the exchange of best practices in local governance.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora and Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Censoria Yap will lead the ceremonial signing of the Sisterhood Agreement at 10 a.m. at Bohol Tropics.

The agreement seeks to foster closer collaboration between the two local government units in key areas, including governance, tourism, culture, economic development, disaster resilience, health, education, environmental protection, and other programs of mutual interest.

City officials said the partnership is expected to facilitate the sharing of successful programs, innovative practices, and development strategies that could benefit both communities.

The sisterhood agreement also reflects San Juan City’s continuing effort to build stronger partnerships with local government units across the country to promote innovation and inclusive, people-centered governance.

Zamora is expected to be accompanied by members of the San Juan City delegation during the signing ceremony, while Yap will lead officials from the Tagbilaran City Government.

The formal partnership is anticipated to open opportunities for future exchanges and joint initiatives that will strengthen ties between the two cities and support their respective development goals.
