TALIBON, Bohol — The provincial government of Bohol has officially inaugurated and blessed the new TaRSIER 117 Substation Building in Talibon, a move aimed at enhancing emergency response and disaster preparedness in the northern part of the province.
The newly completed facility, worth P2.8 million, is located within the compound of the Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital and was funded through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).
During the turnover and blessing ceremony, Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado highlighted the importance of strengthening the province’s emergency response network by expanding TaRSIER 117’s presence across Bohol.
With the opening of the Talibon facility, the province now has eight operational TaRSIER 117 substations, excluding its main headquarters at the Provincial Capitol, providing faster emergency and rescue services to communities throughout Bohol.

Governor Aris Aumentado expressed hope that the new substation would further inspire personnel of the PDRRMO, led by Anthony Damalerio, to continue their commitment to disaster risk reduction and emergency rescue operations.
He emphasized that the responsibility of rescue teams extends beyond responding to emergencies, noting that their dedication plays a crucial role in saving lives and building safer, more resilient communities.
Aumentado said the additional substation is expected to improve response time for medical emergencies, disasters, and rescue operations in Talibon and neighboring municipalities as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen public safety services across Bohol.
