SIERRA BULLONES, Bohol — A newlywed couple in Barangay San Isidro, Sierra Bullones received a new home as a wedding gift through a joint housing initiative of the Philippine National Police in Bohol and the Aumentado couple on Friday, May 15, 2026.
The turnover of the house highlighted the collaboration between PNP-Bohol’s “Libreng Alagad ug Balay” (LAB) Program and the “Balay sa Paglaum” Program of Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado and 2nd district Rep. Vanessa Cadorna-Aumentado.
The beneficiary, Joseph Noculan, finally fulfilled his long-time dream of having a home after marrying Cerilin in a ceremony officiated by Michael Doria.
The newly built house, the 118th unit completed under the program, was formally turned over to the couple during a ceremony attended by Governor Aumentado,
Police Community Affairs and Development Unit Chief Lt. Col. Joseph Berondo, Sierra Bullones Chief of Police Cpt. John Christian Mendoza, barangay officials led by Punong Barangay Jessan Cainday Salo, and the families of the newlyweds.
The project was funded through the personal contributions of the Aumentado couple for the purchase of construction materials, while PNP-Bohol personnel carried out the construction under the LAB Program.
Gov. Aumentado commended PNP-Bohol, headed by Provincial Director Patricio Degay Jr., for its dedication and bayanihan spirit in implementing the housing initiative alongside local officials and volunteers.
He also acknowledged the leadership of Police Regional Office-7 Regional Director Arnold Abad in supporting community-based development programs.
For the Aumentado couple, the turnover marked another milestone in their housing advocacy, which they said continues to bring hope and assistance to families in need across the province.
They emphasized that the “Balay sa Paglaum” Program is more than symbolic aid, describing it as a concrete effort to transform lives through collaboration between government agencies, local communities, and law enforcement sectors.
