TAGBILARAN CITY — More than P4 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City on Friday, May 8.
Authorities arrested Christian Torres Celerejia, 26, a resident of Purok 6, Dalan Calceta, Barangay Cogon, during the anti-illegal drug operation led by PDEA personnel under Ma. Chona Igam.
According to investigators, the operation was launched after authorities monitored the suspect’s alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
A PDEA agent acting as poseur buyer allegedly purchased one packet of suspected shabu worth P1,000 from the suspect.
After the transaction, operatives immediately arrested Celerejia and conducted a search, which resulted in the recovery of 11 additional packets of suspected shabu weighing around 600 grams.
The confiscated illegal drugs had an estimated street value of P4.08 million.
PDEA identified Celerejia as a regional high value target (RHVT) under its anti-drug campaign.
