TAGBILARAN CITY — The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) welcomed Police Regional Office 7 Acting Regional Director Arnold E. Abad during his inaugural command visit to the province on Monday, April 27, highlighted by the turnover of more than P95 million worth of mobility and information technology assets.
The visit coincided with the Traditional Monday flag-raising and awarding ceremony and was led by Abad together with Bohol Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado and Provincial Director Patricio C. Degay Jr..
Local chief executives and police commanders from various municipalities also attended the event.
The BPPO received ICT equipment worth P51.14 million, including scanners, printers, biometric fingerprint devices, webcams with tripods, and USB storage units intended to enhance administrative and investigative operations.
It also received mobility assets worth P44.69 million, consisting of Toyota Hilux 4×4 patrol jeeps, Mitsubishi Triton carrier trucks, a Toyota Innova, and Honda dirt bikes.
These vehicles were distributed to multiple police stations across the province, including Baclayon, Panglao, Tubigon, Jagna, Loboc, Loon, and other municipalities, as well as the Tagbilaran City Police Station and the Bohol Tourist Police Unit.
The new equipment was formally blessed during the ceremony by Rev. Fr. Bernadine Jade Dionne Balite.
In his message, Abad expressed gratitude to Philippine National Police chief Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. for the allocation of resources to Bohol, and acknowledged former PRO-7 leaders Anthony A. Aberin and Redrico A. Maranan for their contributions.
He urged police personnel to remain committed to law enforcement duties and professional integrity.
Officials said the arrival of new assets is expected to improve police mobility, response capability, and investigative efficiency in the province.
