TAGBILARAN CITY—Supporters of Vice President Sara Duterte in Bohol are set to gather on Saturday, March 28, for the formal launch of the Inday Sara Duterte Alliance (Isda), an event that coincides with the 81st birthday of former president Rodrigo Duterte.
The kickoff activity will begin with a motorcade at 3 p.m., starting from CPG Park and proceeding to Plaza Rizal, where the main program will take place later in the evening.
Organizers have also lined up a logo contest as part of the pre-program activities.
Isda Bohol spokesperson Dr. Doloreich Dumaluan said the launch aims not only to commemorate Duterte’s contributions to the country but also to consolidate support for the alliance in the province ahead of future political engagements.
The main program, scheduled at 6 p.m., is expected to draw Duterte allies and supporters, as well as local leaders. It will also serve as a platform to strengthen backing for Duterte, who has signified her intention to seek the presidency in the 2028 elections.
Invitations have been extended to key political figures, including Cavite Representative Kiko Barzaga and retired Commission on Elections Commissioner Rowena Guanzon, though their attendance remains uncertain.
Entertainment performances by Boholano talents, such as singer-songwriter Joseph Gara, vocalist Jerome Sala and his children, and the band Garaon, are also expected to highlight the evening program.
Organizers said they are working closely with local authorities in Tagbilaran City to ensure security and smooth flow of activities, as a large crowd is anticipated.
The public, particularly Duterte supporters, is encouraged to arrive early for the full program.
