TAGBILARAN CITY — The provincial government of Bohol will begin implementing a four-day onsite workweek starting March 9, 2026 as part of the national government’s energy conservation measures.
Under the new arrangement, employees will report to their offices from Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., while Fridays will be designated for work-from-home or other flexible work arrangements.
Gov. Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado said the policy aligns with Memorandum Circular No. 114 issued by the Office of the President of the Philippines directing government agencies to adopt energy-saving protocols and flexible work setups.
Aumentado assured the public that essential services will remain fully operational, particularly those related to health care, public safety, and emergency response.
He said provincial offices will also implement measures to reduce electricity and fuel consumption while ensuring government services continue without disruption.
The governor added that attendance and performance monitoring will still be strictly enforced during the implementation of the flexible work arrangement, which will remain in effect until further directives are issued by the Office of the President.
