Several South Korean celebrities, including “Lovely Runner” star Kim Hye-yoon and TV personality Dex, were recently seen in Bohol province, fueling speculation that they are filming an upcoming variety show.
On Thursday, videos circulated on X and TikTok showing Hye-yoon and Dex alongside actresses Yum Jung-ah and Park Joon-myun at the Bohol-Panglao International Airport.
A TikTok user who identified herself as airport intern Judea Mabanag shared clips of the celebrities waiting for their luggage and later exiting the airport.
By Friday, the group was also spotted on Balicasag Island, a popular dive destination in the province.
While there has been no official confirmation regarding their activities, fans online speculate that the stars are filming a spin-off of the variety show Fresh Off the Sea.
K-entertainment site Soompi reported Tuesday that the four celebrities are confirmed cast members of the spin-off, which is scheduled to premiere in April. The original series, available for streaming in the Philippines via Viu, follows Korean celebrities as they travel to coastal areas to explore and showcase local delicacies.
Hye-yoon first gained recognition for her role in Sky Castle and further rose to fame through romance dramas such as Extraordinary You and Lovely Runner. She currently stars in No Tail to Tell, portraying a nine-tailed fox who turns into a human after an encounter with a star athlete played by Lomon, known for All of Us Are Dead.
Dex, whose real name is Kim Jin-young, first drew public attention through the hit dating show Single’s Inferno and has since become a familiar face on various entertainment programs.
