TAGBILARAN CITY — The City General Services Office (CGSO) conducted a weeklong volunteerism initiative from February 9 to 13, 2026, as part of its “I Am for Tagbilaran” program aimed at promoting community service and civic engagement.
The activities opened on February 9 with “I Am for the Children,” a feeding program at the Candait Day Care Center led by the Supplies and Procurement Division.
On February 10, the Asset Management Division spearheaded “I Am for Faith,” a spiritual upliftment activity for persons under police custody at the Tagbilaran City Police Station and persons deprived of liberty at the Tagbilaran City Jail.
A cleanup drive along J.S. Torralba Street followed on February 11 under “I Am for the Community,” organized by the Motorpool and Transportation Division.
Environmental activities highlighted the February 12 observance of “I Am for the Environment,” which featured the Project 6300 tree-growing activity at the City Agrivet Office in Barangay Tiptip. The activity was led by the Administrative and General Services Division.
The week concluded on February 13 with “I Am for a Clean Tagbilaran,” a cleanup drive at the City Hall compound joined by city government employees.
The volunteerism program was conceptualized in 2020 by CGSO Head Dr. Chris John Rener Torralba and has since become an annual February activity of the office.
City officials said the initiative supports the environmental and cleanliness programs of Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap, including Project 6300, which promotes tree-growing and environmental protection among city employees.
The CGSO said the continued implementation of the “I Am for Tagbilaran” program reflects the city government’s commitment to people-centered governance and to maintaining a cleaner and greener Tagbilaran. With reports from Tagbilaran City Government
