TAGBILARAN CITY — Bohol officials on Friday welcomed Marc Raynal, director of the French Embassy, for the third assessment of the proposed Tagbilaran–Panglao Island Bridge, a major infrastructure project seen to improve mobility and economic activity in the province.

Led by Governor Aris Aumentado, the provincial government of Bohol discussed with Raynal the readiness of concerned agencies and prospective partner companies, including the Department of Public Works and Highways, ahead of the project’s implementation.

Once completed, the bridge is expected to ease traffic congestion between Tagbilaran City and Panglao Island, provide smoother access between the airport and the city, and facilitate faster movement of people and goods.

Raynal noted the positive progress of the project, saying coordination among stakeholders remains strong and that issues identified during the assessment are manageable, expressing confidence in the project moving forward.
