The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board–Region 7 (LTFRB-7), in partnership with the provincial government of Bohol under Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado, will conduct mobile franchising operations and other LTFRB services in Bohol every Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning February 6.
The weekly schedule was announced by LTFRB-7 Officer-in-Charge Regional Director Eugenio P. Ibo Jr. during a courtesy visit to Governor Aumentado on January 27, 2026, accompanied by LTFRB-7 representative Victor Cosep.
To ensure the smooth delivery of services, Governor Aumentado offered space at the ground floor or lobby of the new Provincial Capitol to serve as an LTFRB desk, complete with tables, chairs, and other necessary amenities.
Provincial government staff will also be assigned to assist LTFRB personnel to help expedite transactions.
The initiative aims to bring LTFRB services closer to Boholanos and eliminate the need for clients to travel to Cebu, thereby reducing transportation costs and inconvenience.
During the meeting, Aumentado also followed up on the status of Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) applications filed by local government units and the Provincial Government of Bohol. Regional Director Ibo said several applications are currently undergoing minor revisions.
The governor further requested an additional 100 slots for Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) in Bohol, including Grab, and presented plans for the possible operation of electric vehicles along major national roads in Tagbilaran City, Dauis, and Panglao as part of efforts to support tourism development.
The use of electric vehicles had earlier been discussed during an ASEAN meeting with Energy Secretary Sharon Garin as an alternative transport option to help protect the environment. LTFRB officials expressed openness to consider the proposed programs.
LTFRB chairman Vigor Mendoza II is currently spearheading the full digitalization of LTFRB services, including mobile franchising and the digital processing of applications for TNVS and other public utility vehicles, with support from the Department of Transportation.
“Sa mga kliyente, muanhi lamang kamo sa Kapitolyo sa ground floor diin mag-provide kita sa LTFRB og space aron mas paspas ang paghatag og serbisyo alang sa tanang Bol-anon,” Aumentado said in a Facebook post.
