The Bohol Provincial Development Council (PDC) Executive Committee approved several major development initiatives during its 10th ExeCom meeting on Wednesday, November 26.

It was presided by provincial administrator Asteria Caberte.

Among the key actions was the approval of the endorsement of Supplemental Annual Investment Program (SAIP) No. 7 for 2025, presented by Provincial Budget and Management Office officer-in-charge Maria Muriel Pagud, for submission to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. The SAIP details priority projects and funding requirements to support strategic, evidence-based investments.

The committee also endorsed Bohol’s Flagship Projects, presented by Engr. Rickie Deo Dalida of the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), for consideration by the Regional Development Council. These programs seek to strengthen infrastructure, social services, and economic growth.

A provincewide flood prevention masterplan—featuring Sabo Dam technology—was likewise approved for endorsement after being presented by Engr. Rodrigo Arocha of PPDO’s Infrastructure Development Sector. The plan aims to reduce flood risks and improve climate resilience.

Health infrastructure got a major boost with the endorsement of two hospital projects: a proposed 10-storey specialty building with a two-level basement for the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center (GCGMMC) in Tagbilaran City, and the third phase of the Gallares Health Care Campus in Cortes.

Also endorsed was the Provincial Foreshore Management Plan presented by DENR-PENRO Bohol’s For. Jose Cleo Cary Colis, aimed at strengthening coastal resource management and sustainable development.

These approvals reflect the Provincial Government’s commitment to high-impact, future-ready development aligned with its Strategic Governance Roadmap, emphasizing infrastructure, climate resilience, and efficient public service delivery for a stronger Bohol in 2026.
