Responding to the urgent needs of disaster-stricken communities, the Bohol Medical Society (BMS) has sent a substantial donation of medicines to Capitol-run hospitals in Cebu, offering critical support to ongoing relief and healthcare operations in the province.
The initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Christian Budoy Lim, a physician from Bohol, who coordinated the effort with his friend Dr. Nikki Catalan, the Cebu Capitol’s Piso Health consultant.
The donation comes at a crucial time as Cebu’s medical facilities continue to face increased demand for essential supplies in the aftermath of recent calamities.
Catalan expressed heartfelt gratitude for the assistance and commended Lim’s efforts in mobilizing support from his network of colleagues and pharmaceutical partners.
“Your generosity comes at a time when many of our communities are still recovering and in need of medical support. Rest assured, these medicines will reach the affected areas,” Catalan said.
The Cebu Provincial Government assured that the donated medicines will be swiftly distributed to the most affected towns, easing the burden on both patients and frontliners.
Catalan said she is grateful for the continued compassion and solidarity shown by friends from Bohol during Cebu’s time of need.
