TAGBILARAN CITY — Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado has started the distribution of P30,000 aid for each of Bohol’s 1,109 barangays as part of the provincial government’s continuing support to local communities.

On November 8, Aumentado visited the towns of Bien Unido and Trinidad to deliver the latest batch of barangay assistance. A total of P600,000 in checks was distributed to barangay officials from 20 barangays gathered in Barangay Bongbong, along with Trinidad Sangguniang Bayan Member Juanilo Orioque and other officials.

The governor also turned over P883,100 for various barangay projects and inaugurated a water refilling station in Barangay Bongbong, a project of the BOAFA cooperative supported by the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) through a P500,000 grant from the Office of the Governor.

In Bien Unido, 15 barangays received their share of the P30,000 aid, although some officials from island barangays were unable to attend due to rough seas brought by Typhoon Uwan.

Since the program began on October 16, a total of 19 towns—including Bilar, Batuan, Candijay, Jagna, Talibon, Clarin, Ubay, and others—have received the barangay assistance.

Aumentado said the aid aims to empower barangays to address local needs and prepare for emergencies. “We hope these funds will help support projects that truly benefit the people,” he said.

Provincial board members from all three districts joined the governor in the distribution, underscoring the administration’s commitment to expand local development and ensure that public funds reach the grassroots.
