TUBIGON, BOHOL — A local vlogger identified as Mark Angelo Abucejo, also known as “Gegel” and a member of the “Turo Family”, was arrested in a successful anti-drug operation conducted by the Tubigon Municipal Police Station – Municipal Drug Enforcement Team (MDET) under the leadership of Police Captain Carljobel Lofranco.
Police operatives seized from the suspect around 10 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of P68,000. Two recording devices were used during the operation to ensure transparency and proper documentation.
According to police reports, Abucejo, known for his online vlogs, was also identified as an active drug peddler in the area. The operation was launched after surveillance and reports surfaced that he had gone live on social media allegedly engaging in activities related to the illegal drug trade, drawing public concern.
Authorities said the arrest of Gegel marks a significant development in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs and efforts to maintain peace and order in Tubigon.
The suspect is currently detained at the Tubigon Municipal Police Station custodial facility while police prepare the necessary documents for the filing of charges in court.
